Coach, what is your overall assessment of today’s result?
We started the game low. We gained momentum, but after missing the penalty, we dropped mentally. We lacked precision and fighting mentality. We didn’t capitalize on the chances we created. The opponents kept us away from their goal with a well-organized low defensive block.
Do you feel this is a point gained or two points dropped?
It is one of the three possible outcomes in football.
How important was the response after conceding first?
It was very important. At some point, I felt we could get more from our persistent threat going forward.

What went wrong defensively when you conceded?
We lacked defensive instinct and shape discipline. We delayed pressing their attacking players and gave them space and time to execute.
Was it concentration or tactical breakdown?
It was concentration and communication.

There was nothing particularly pleasing. I know the potential our forward line possesses. I spoke to him after the game and shared my words with him.

Yes. I made a midfield change to inject pace and regain stability.

Sometimes as a coach you allow players freedom in decision-making. When you have a captain, he represents the coach’s mind and voice. The players made the decision.

It was one of the worst moments to experience.

Very crucial. But he has always delivered for us. I cannot say much more — I know he will reflect internally.
